The United Nations has decided Wales does not exist, at least as far as the internet is concerned. After four years, the UN has awarded the internet URL suffix .cym to the Cayman Islands, when Wales wanted it to mark a separate identity from the UK.
Making matters worse, the attempt to grab the .cym suffix has cost at least £130,000. Of that, £20,000 came from the Welsh Assembly.
The Cayman Islands, a teeny outpost of our Empire with a population of 60,000 and total land mass of 364 square miles, was awarded the suffix because it is a real country, unlike Wales. More...
