Padre Pio is a big hit in Singapore...

Continue the journey of the relics of St. Pius led by father Ermelindo of Capua, the monk who for six years acted as interpreter of the friar from San Giovanni Rotondo. After the great success of the tour in Australasia that has touched the city of Geraldton, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in Australia and Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in New Zealand, it was the turn of the city-state of Singapore.

There are two relics of the friar from Pietrelcina arrived in Asia. The first is a gold cross containing the dried blood of a hand on which the saint received the stigmata. The second is a blood-stained glove. The relics, which were received directly from the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie in San Giovanni Rotondo have had a great response from the faithful of Singapore, in which hundreds have gone to church to pay tribute to the monk and ask for the healing of their loved ones sick .
