Don't mess around with Kuwait's female cops!!!

When teams of policewomen started public patrols for the first time in July, their blue uniforms, berets and military boots were a shock to the raucous teenagers who cruise the city’s malls.

Some of the teens thought the inexperienced women would be an easy target for verbal abuse.

They realised their mistake when the police hit back with a punishment out of the fashion-conscious miscreants’ worst dreams. Dozens of insolent offenders were hauled to the police station to have their heads closely shaved with clippers. Officers say the measure sent a strong message to those intent on disrespecting the law.

Mohammed Hayef, an MP, was quoted in the Kuwait Times as calling their new role “an abuse to the female identity, a violation of Islamic ethics and a blind imitation of western and westernised countries. There will be dire consequences if the minister fails to correct his mistake.” Full story...
