Male colleague in India punches teacher for not wearing sari...

Attempts to enforce a dress code for women teachers and students in educational institutions in Bengal reached a new low on Tuesday when a teacher at a Howrah school assaulted a female colleague for not wearing a sari.

Ganesh Chandra Mondal allegedly punched Papri Deb for daring to wear a salwar-kameez to school. Papri has lodged a compla-int with police and the additional district inspector of schools. More...
