In India if you overtake a minister's car, you'll get bashed up!! And a complaint filed against you!

A day after assaulting and threatening a motorist for overtaking his car, Labour Minister B N Bachche Gowda remained elusive as news became public.

The victim, Bharath Kumar, is a native of Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district and resident of RMV Extension, Bangalore. He is also said to be a close relative of Chikamagalur MP D V Sadanada Gowda.

Though Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa apologised to Bharath and his family, Gowda remained unrepentant.

An eveninger quoted Gowda defending his hitting Bharath and filing a complaint. “He was not even aware I am a Minister. How can he overtake my car,’’ he was quoted in the paper. More...
