The London Telegraph reports Ryanair is planning to introduce "a standing area" with "vertical seats" on its jets. Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary tells the paper "we've been looking at … taking out the last 10 rows of seats so we will have 15 rows of seats and the equivalent of 10 rows of standing area."
A Ryanair spokesman tells the Telegraph the airline has even advanced the idea to the point of having had consultations with Boeing on the subect. The spokesman adds safety testing could begin next year, according to the Telegraph. More...
