Anti-narcotics police seized the drugs, worth 28,000 ringgit (8,485 dollars), from the women suspected of being part of an international drug syndicate with links to neighbouring Thailand.
'We believe that the women were drug traffickers and were waiting for customers when police detained them,' Roslan Abdul Wahid, anti-narcotics chief from the northeastern state Terengganu, was quoted as saying by the Star newspaper.
He said police also seized cash in local and Thai currencies from the two suspects, aged 43 and 30.
They will be remanded and charged with drug trafficking, which is punishable by death in Malaysia. Source...
