Italian nurse 'murdered pensioners and tipped off funeral parlour for profit'

An Italian nurse is believed to have murdered seven pensioners at a care home and profited from their deaths by tipping off funeral parlours and taking a commission.

Angelo Stazzi, 65, a male nurse, is suspected of killing at least seven people by injecting them with overdoses of insulin.

Detectives believe that he ran a macabre racket in which he would murder patients in his care and then recommend the use of certain funeral parlours to their grieving relatives.

The firms would pay him a "commission" for pushing business their way, police said. More...
