Tamil hunger striker accused of eating burgers sues newspapers...

The Tamil hunger-striker who fasted for 23 days protesting the offensive against the Tamil Tigers in London, will sue two British newspapers for claiming he secretly ate burgers during the rally.

Parameswaran Subramaniyan kept the fast in Parliament Square last year after five of his relatives were killed in the civil war in the country. He wanted to urge the UK Government to intervene in the Lankan conflict. More...
