A miracle skier who survived under snow for 17 hours after an avalanche has told how he felt like he had been buried in concrete like a corpse.
Rescue teams were on the verge of giving up their search for 21-year-old Cedric Genoud when they caught sight of his helmet.
Speaking from his hospital bed Genoud admitted that he had taken an "ill-considered" and "childish" risk by venturing off the beaten track in Switzerland.
He described his "long cold night" and said he had survived by eating snow and rolling his head to create a small air pocket. More...
