Ammajamma, 45, spent 15 years in a cattle shed, where she was incarcerated by her husband, Honnappa, in Honenahalli village of Tumkur district.

On Friday, locals tipped off the police about the woman's plight. She was rescued and handed over to the women and child welfare department.
