The firefighter who was in action after 9/11, Katrina and in Haiti...

Kevin Bartlett had already been an eyewitness to history — twice.

A veteran firefighter with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, Bartlett has been part of rescue missions to New York after the 9-11 terrorist attacks and to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

Then fate came calling again last month: Bartlett, 36, helped find survivors trapped under debris in Haiti after the January earthquake that shattered the nation's capital.

He's the only firefighter in his agency sent to all three historic disaster zones. More...
