Iraqi father runs down daughter for being too "westernized..."

Police say the driver who hit two women in a Peoria parking lot on Tuesday is the father of one of the victims.

According to the Peoria Police Department, two women were run down by a Jeep Cherokee in a parking lot near 89th Avenue and Peoria Road at approximately 2:05 p.m. Tuesday. After hitting the victims, the suspect fled the scene going west on Peoria Avenue.

The victims were transported to a Valley trauma center where Noor Faleh Almaleki, 20, was reported to have life-threatening injuries and Amal Edan Khalaf, 43, had non-life threatening injuries. More + video...
