Farmer plans to pour away milk in protest...

A Scottish dairy farmer plans to pour away 2,000 litres of milk as part of a Europe-wide protest over prices.

Doris Robertson, from Dairy Farmers of Scotland, will spread her daily supply over fields and feed her cows with it.

The move is aimed at highlighting the campaign for farmers to receive a greater share of profit margins.

Dairy producers across Europe are taking part in strike action and 500m litres of milk have been withheld from the market and poured away. More...
