A 25-year-old woman was allegedly burnt to death by her husband and in-laws for giving birth to a baby girl for the second time in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, police said Wednesday.
“Just hours after Momeena delivered a baby girl Tuesday, she was set on fire by her husband, brother-in-law and mother-in-law,” police inspector Somveer Singh told IANS on phone.
Singh said the three accused ran away with the newborn girl after setting Momeena on fire. Momeena, married for five years, was a resident of the Ahera village in Baghpat, some 350 km from Lucknow. More...
