A TEENAGER arrested yesterday under suspicion of kicking a cat to death has been released without charge, although he now faces possible drugs charges. 

The man, 19, was taken into custody after two ambulance officers saw him kicking the animal at 1.30am yesterday on the intersection of Liverpool Road and Thomas Street in Ashfield, in Sydney's inner west.

Police arrested the man and an 18-year-old male after canvassing the area. The men said the cat – believed to be a stray – had been killed by a car before they found it in a gutter. More...
