Bono's U2 claim carbon cost of their world tour is a price worth paying!!! Oh yeah?

Rock band U2 have responded to criticism over the carbon footprint of their 360º world tour by saying there is no alternative.

Veteran guitarist The Edge said the environmental cost of their new stage spectatcular was a price worth paying for their millions of fans.

Ahead of the first night of their UK leg of the tour at Wembley Stadium, The Edge refuted claims their set was excessive and said there was “no alternative” to ferrying their equipment around on a fleet of more than a 100 fuel-guzzling trucks. More...
