Ring lost in England years ago finds its owner ... in Chicago!!!

When Cyril Clarke finds a treasure on the beach in his homeland of England, it rarely gets returned to the original owner. But when he stumbled upon an American's high school class ring, he knew it was a unique find. 

Nearly a decade ago Clarke, 90, found the 1958 black onyx class ring on the beach in the county of Sussex, and decided to keep it in hopes of returning it to the owner. "I even mailed a letter to the [U.S.] president," he said. 

Clarke's hope of finding the owner dwindled over the years. But a friendship he struck with an American pen pal in the Chicago area ultimately led him to a graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Tennessee. More...
