Muslims in India not happy about Sarkozy's"burqa bomb..."

Clerics have demanded urgent intervention by the Indian government to ensure that rights of Muslim women are not infringed in France after president Nicholas Sarkozi dropped the "burqa bomb" on Monday. While milder lobby, represented by the naib imam of Lucknow's Firangi Mahal, Maulana Khalid Rasheed, sent an appeal to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to raise the voice of millions of Indian Muslims whose sentiments are hurt by the unseemly comments by the France president, orthodox sect went to the extent of questioning the very intent of insidious men from the west.  More...
