An Australian woman who spent six months in a Kuwaiti jail for insulting the emir said she was beaten and kept in a small cell for days without food, according to a television report.
Nasrah Al Shamery, 44, was given a two-year jail sentence in April for comments made during an argument with airport officials.
She was freed from prison and allowed to return to Australia this month after appealing and receiving a suspended sentence. More...
