In Malaysia there's a Temple of Lucky Pigs!!!

Come dusk, a flurry of excitement can be felt at a tiny and usually quiet Hindu temple as hundreds of people gather to greet the site’s most-honored guests — rough-skinned, hairy and hungry wild boars. 

The Jeda Munisvarar Temple, nestled within a forest clearing in the sleepy town of Taiping in Malaysia’s northern state of Perak, is fast gaining the attention of devotees and the not-so-faithful, since word got round that the temple was a gathering site for good-luck wild boars. 

“About a year back, some pilgrims rubbed pieces of paper with numbers on the backs of the wild boars,” senior temple volunteer N Morgan said. More...
