Thai jailed for 10 years for "insulting" king...

A court has jailed a Thai man for ten years after he posted doctored images of the royal family on a website.

Suwicha Thakhor, 34, was arrested in January after police traced the online postings to his home computer. The harsh sentence is latest move in what critics say is a concerted campaign to suppress political debate in the kingdom.

Mr Suwicha, accompanied in court by his parents, broke into tears when a court official read out the ruling. More...
