The chief of police in the small town of Oakwood, Texas was in Jail Tuesday after his arrest on a warrant charging aggravated assault that stems from what evidently was the use of a Taser on his wife.
Oly Yahnson Ivy, 30, became the town’s police chief two months ago.
The arrest warrant was issued after an incident Monday morning at his home.
He was ordered held on a $100,000 bond.
Monday night, the Oakwood City Council voted unanimously to fire him after council members were advised that Ivy’s wife had injuries consistent with use of a Taser.
