Britain is opening its first drama school for Bollywood stars – and young would-be stars are flocking to it.
It is being billed as an ''all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza''. For one day only, this year's Proms audience is being treated to a Bollywood spectacular. Organisers have even laid on music and dancing workshops for concert-goers in Kensington Gardens, just across the road from the Royal Albert Hall.
Such has been the success of the British film Slumdog Millionaire, which was set in Mumbai, that Bollywood seems to have become as much a part of our culture as flag-waving to the strains of Land of Hope and Glory. More...
