Berlusconi to earthquake victims: Take it as weekend camping...

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has reportedly suggested the 28,000 people left homeless by the Abruzzo earthquake should imagine they're on a camping trip. 

Mr Berlusconi made the serious gaffe on German television station N-TV. 

He told the reporter: "[The victims] have everything they need. They have medical care, hot food ... of course, their current lodgings are a bit temporary, but they should see it like a weekend of camping."

Monday's earthquake killed more than 270 people, injured more than 1000 and left 28,000 people homeless. More...
