English nurse in Australia has to take English test!!!

An English woman who wants to work as a nurse in New South Wales says she is astonished she first has to take an English test to prove she can speak the language.

Julie Dutton applied to have her British nursing qualifications recognised in the state three weeks ago, after moving to Sydney with her Australian husband last year.

Ms Dutton was told the application could not be processed because she had not taken the English language exam. More...
