Monkeys and apes have a sense of morality; we humans are not that exceptional, after all!

Monkeys and apes have a sense of morality and fairness, new research has found. 

Scientists have discovered that the furry swingers can tell right from wrong, offer selfless help and empathise with fellow animals in times of trouble.

They even appear to have consciences and the ability to feel a sense of obligation. 

The research, carried out at Emory University in Georgia, USA, suggests that morality is not a uniquely human quality and that it arose through evolution. More...
