Hundreds of youths brought anarchy to the streets of Thornton Heath as they tried to gatecrash a girl's 18th birthday party that had been advertised on Facebook.
A police source has told the Advertiser as many as 500 boys and girls were involved in a mass fight after they were refused entry to Club 791, in London Road.
Fifty police officers had to be called to the scene as youngsters hurled bottles and sharp objects at each other. More...
