Bollywood meets Kung Fu: after "Slumdog Millionaire," here comes "Chandi Chowk!!!"

Hundreds of fans turned out in London's Leicester Square for the world premiere of the action comedy Chandi Chowk to China.

The movie, which has been described as Bollywood meets Kung Fu, is about a cook from Chandni Chowk who is mistaken as the reincarnation of an ancient warrior by residents of an oppressed Chinese village.

Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar says it is a cinema first: "Well, this is the first sort of Bollywood Kung Fu film, so it was something new. Bollywood has never seen a Kung Fu Masala. So it's like getting curry and noodles together." More...
