Playwright Harold Pinter is dead...

Harold Pinter, the Nobel prize-winning playwright, actor and author died last night. He was 78.

Pinter, whose works include The Birthday Party, The Dumb Waiter and his breakthrough play The Caretaker, had been suffering from cancer of the oesophagus since 2002.
