Paul McCartney wrote "Michelle" to attract girls??? Wasn't his fame attraction enough?

SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY wrote the BEATLES' Grammy-winning hit song MICHELLE so he could pick up girls, according to a new book on British pop music.
Author Gordon Thompson claims the singer composed the song while at the Liverpool Institute, and included French lyrics to impress potential girlfriends.
He writes in Please Please Me, "His musical goal was to 'write something with a melody and a bass line,' while his social goal was to evoke 'that French existential thing' as a way to attract girls."
The track, which features on the Fab Four album Rubber Soul, was named Song of Year award at the 1966 Grammy Awards.
