Hull City A.F.C, the small club that became big...

I mentioned this the other day in the Saturday analysis of the opening EPL weekend, but it’s coming back here in its own post because it’s such an awesome story.

Hull City A.F.C. was founded in 1904 and eventually elected into the second division of the English Football League. Until they played their way into promotion last season, they had NEVER played in England’s top league. If that weren’t amazing enough, the winning goal that secured the promotion came from Hull native Dean Windass in the Championship play-off final.

104 years of history, and never a single moment of spotlight in the top league. And when they finally made that Premier League debut this past Saturday against Fulham, naturally they rose to the occasion with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory.
