Interpol says it is following up more than 200 leads as it tracks a Western man accused of molesting Asian boys and sharing pictures of the abuse over the Internet, 24 hours after launching a global hunt for the suspect.
The worldwide police agency has posted images on its website of the suspect, a white man apparently aged between 50 and 70, who was shown abusing young boys in around 100 shots found on the hard drive of a convicted paedophile.
The three children were aged between six and 10 and the abuse is thought to have taken place in South East Asia between April 2000 and May 2001.
It is only the second time the international police agency has made such a public appeal, following a search for another paedophile suspect, Christopher Paul Neil, a 32-year-old Canadian who was arrested in Thailand in October. More...

ReplyDeleteWe should put Osama Bin Laden on a pedophile watch list and watch the leads pouring in.
Yes! I just heard about it!
ReplyDeleteAs for Osama, LOL!!!
it's great that interpol used the media to capture this guy. but what i cannot understand is why it took them 2 yrs to make that decision. why are they protecting a man as vile as this one by not publicizing his photo the minute they came upon them? i am sure over the course of those 2 yrs, he continued to torture children. interpol, and all other agency's who deal with such matters should immediately use the media to find these guys. i mean after all, protecting our children should be our number one priority in life!
ReplyDeleteYes, good point, but I think it's mainly because they were unable to pinpoint his whereabouts or his identity that made them finally consult the public. Of course, if they had done it earlier...
