France's largest commercial broadcaster, TF1, has filed a lawsuit against the video-sharing site YouTube and is seeking damages of 100 million euros ($158.3 million), the website of French business daily Les Echos said on Wednesday.
A YouTube spokesman quoted by the newspaper said the suit had been received a few days ago in California but would be judged in Paris.
A TF1 spokesman declined to comment on the report.
YouTube, acquired by Internet giant Google in 2006, is facing a $1 billion copyright infringement suit from entertainment group Viacom that accuses it of profiting from clips from Viacom shows illegally uploaded by YouTube users.
